Garibaldi friends

Odoardo Turchetti, doctor in Monsummano Terme, had treated Giuseppe Garibaldi becoming a  brotherly friend of him. 
The “Hero of the Two Worlds” gifted doctor Turchetti a photo with dedication and one of his hats, together with a letter of estimation and gratitude for the cures he had got. 
Today these exhibits are well kept at Casa Turchetti that was Doctor Odoardo Turchetti’s home. 
Nowadays Casa Turchetti has become an Agriturismo (Tourist Farmhouse) managed by descendants of Turchetti Family.

Today, all the Casa Turchetti guests not only can look and touch “Garibaldi’s Hat”, but also wear it and sit for a pleasant memory photo such as the one that can be found on our website.
